MOBILE DISPENSARY FOR SCHEDULE TRIBES SETTLEMENTS

Karunalaya has been implementing Mobile Medicare Programme benefiting ST elders belonging to Eruthukaranpatti, Arungal and Vilankudi and surrounding 10 remote villages of Ariyalur district. Our medicare unit including Medical Doctor and Nurse visit to the interior villages, where there is a large no. poor old men and women and young women and children without any medical aid and access to healthcare facilities. Our Medical team is equipped with basic medicines and injections for their ailments. Weekly once our team would visit each villages and attend, about 50 elders, women and children. The duration of visit last to 2-3 hours to cover all the needy people. Periodically we arrange specialist doctors from well known Eye Hospitals for conducting free eye camps, when elders get tested for their vision, and provide free spectacles, or vitamin A supplements. We are thankful to Local community support and volunteers contribution for serving this needy elders.

It would be a great help if we could get the help and support of the Government for this project to extend our medicare support to many more needy elders belonging to Ariyalur District.
